Can a tiny wire unlock the mystery of stroke recovery?

NCT ID NCT07566598

First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026

Summary

This study tests a new method to measure blood flow in the tiny blood vessels of the brain right after a stroke is treated. The goal is to understand why some patients still have disabilities even when the main artery is reopened. Fifteen adults who had a stroke and received a clot-removal procedure will participate. The approach uses a special wire and catheter to measure resistance in the brain's microcirculation, which has never been done before.
