Carbs first or last? study tests meal timing for peak athletic performance
NCT ID NCT07503990
Summary
This study aims to understand if the order you eat foods in a pre-workout meal affects how your body burns fuel and impacts exercise performance. Researchers will compare eating carbohydrates at the beginning versus the end of a meal in 19 healthy, trained male athletes. Participants will complete cycling tests after each meal pattern to measure fat burning, energy use, and time trial performance.
