First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looked at whether eating three meals a day on a low-calorie diet helps control blood sugar and weight better than eating five smaller meals in people with type 2 diabetes who are overweight or obese. Fifty adults followed either a 3-meal or 5-meal low-calorie plan for 11 weeks. Researchers measured blood sugar changes, weight, and other health markers to see which meal pattern worked best.
