Could MDMA help veterans heal from PTSD and alcohol addiction?

Summary

This study tests whether MDMA-assisted therapy can help veterans who have both PTSD and alcohol use disorder. Participants receive three monthly therapy sessions with either MDMA or a low-dose placebo, plus non-drug therapy. The goal is to see if this treatment reduces PTSD symptoms and alcohol use. The trial is currently recruiting 80 veterans.
