Summary
This study aimed to understand how the drug MDMA (Ecstasy) changes brain activity related to reward, risk, and emotion. Researchers at Stanford University used MRI brain scans and behavioral tests on 22 healthy adults who had used MDMA before. Participants received either a low dose, high dose, or a placebo during separate sessions to measure the drug's effects on brain circuits and mood.
