Brain scans and blood tests may predict who responds to Fast-Acting depression treatments

NCT ID NCT07602153

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at 130 people with major depression who have suicidal thoughts. Researchers will use brain scans, genetic tests, and other biological measures to see how rapid treatments like Esketamine and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) change the brain. The goal is to find early signs that show which treatment works best for each person, reducing the need for trial-and-error and lowering suicide risk.
