First seen May 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This early-phase trial tests the safety and effects of a new drug called MCAM in healthy adults. In Part A, 39 participants receive a single dose of MCAM or a placebo to measure blood levels and safety. In Part B, people who have used opioids before will test how quickly and how long MCAM blocks opioid effects. The goal is to find a safe dose and understand how the drug works in the body.
