Summary

This study tests whether starting luspatercept at the highest approved dose can help people with low-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) go without red blood cell transfusions for at least 8 weeks. About 106 adults who currently need regular transfusions will receive the drug and be monitored for safety and effectiveness. The goal is to reduce transfusion dependence and improve hemoglobin levels.
