Scientists probe link between Mom's weight and Baby's brain
NCT ID NCT04274140
Summary
This study aims to understand if and how a mother's obesity during pregnancy affects her baby's brain development. Researchers will follow 260 healthy pregnant women, some with obesity and some with normal weight, and track their babies' brain growth using MRI scans at several points up to age two. The goal is to see if differences exist and if inflammation in the mother's body might be a key reason.
