First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study aims to find out if matching adults with chronic pain to a specific psychological treatment—like cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, or hypnosis—based on their personal traits leads to better pain relief. Researchers are studying 331 adults to identify which factors predict who benefits most from each therapy. The goal is to move away from a one-size-fits-all approach and create a personalized treatment plan.
