Can a massage calm your anxious brain?

NCT ID NCT06506253

Summary

This study is testing if Swedish massage can help reduce symptoms of Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) by changing how the brain works. Researchers will compare two groups: one receiving real massage and one receiving light touch, both twice a week for six weeks. They will use brain scans and questionnaires to see if massage leads to greater reductions in anxiety and changes in brain connectivity.
