New School-Based program aims to catch and control silent liver disease in kids

NCT ID NCT06905795

Summary

This study is testing a new screening and management program for fatty liver disease (MASLD) in children. It will enroll 270 overweight children aged 7-11 to see if using a simple waist measurement is a good first step for screening. The main goal is to build and test a school- and family-based healthy lifestyle program, as there are no approved drugs for this condition in kids.
