Scientists probe hidden cellular links in liver disease

NCT ID NCT06868992

Summary

This study aims to understand how communication between different parts of cells changes in people with fatty liver disease (MASH). Researchers will examine liver and blood samples from 20 patients undergoing weight-loss surgery to see if these cellular changes are linked to disease progression. The goal is to gather knowledge that could inform future treatments, but this study itself doesn't test any new therapies.
