New device could simplify gait tracking for muscle disease patients
NCT ID NCT07321977
First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study aims to see if a portable digital device can accurately measure walking patterns in people with neuromuscular diseases (like spinal muscular atrophy or muscular dystrophy) and in healthy volunteers. Current tests only track walking speed, but this device may capture more detailed movement data without needing complex equipment. The results could help doctors better monitor disease progression in future clinical trials.
