New study tests 3D heart mapping for better AF ablation
NCT ID NCT07014423
First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Apr 26, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tested whether using a 3D heart map during pulsed field ablation (a procedure to treat atrial fibrillation) helps doctors deliver more precise burns to the right spots. Thirty-two adults with AF were randomly assigned to get the procedure with or without the 3D map. The goal was to see if the 3D map leads to better-quality ablation lesions and fewer extra touch-ups.
