New study tests 3D mapping for better heart ablation

NCT ID NCT07014423

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looked at whether using a 3D map of the heart helps doctors deliver pulsed field ablation more accurately for atrial fibrillation. 32 adults with AF were randomly assigned to get ablation with or without the 3D map. The goal was to see if the 3D map leads to better-quality ablation lesions and fewer extra touch-ups.
