New PET tracer could spot brain diseases earlier
NCT ID NCT07470710
First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests a new imaging agent called 18F-FCOB04 to see if it can help diagnose neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. About 40 adults will receive a PET scan after getting the tracer, and researchers will look at how it binds to MAO-B in the brain. The goal is to improve diagnosis and understand disease patterns, not to treat or cure the condition.
