Coloring away the stress: mandalas may ease dialysis distress

NCT ID NCT07561918

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether coloring mandalas (circular patterns) can improve mindfulness, mood, and reduce psychological distress in people undergoing hemodialysis for kidney failure. Sixty adults aged 18-50 will be split into two groups: one colors mandalas, the other does free-form coloring. Researchers will compare their feelings before and after the activity to see if mandala coloring offers extra benefits.
