Coloring away fear: mandala therapy eases death anxiety in seniors
NCT ID NCT07496268
First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a simple art activity—coloring mandalas—could help elderly people living in nursing homes feel less anxious about death and manage anger. Eighty adults aged 65 and older took part; half colored mandalas three times a week for 12 weeks, while the other half did not. The results suggest that this relaxing, creative activity may improve emotional well-being in older adults.
