First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding peritoneal dialysis (a different type of dialysis) between regular hemodialysis sessions can safely remove extra sodium and fluid from the body. Ten adults with end-stage kidney disease on standard hemodialysis will receive this extra treatment twice a week for three weeks. The goal is to see if this approach improves fluid balance and reduces symptoms, without causing harm.
