First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study tested whether using a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) in the hospital can help keep blood sugar levels in a safe range for people with type 1 or high-risk type 2 diabetes. 157 patients wore a wireless CGM that sent real-time glucose readings to a care team, who then adjusted treatment as needed. The goal was to improve diabetes management during hospital stays and reduce dangerous highs and lows.
