Summary
This study is testing phone-based support programs to help people manage the side effects and emotional distress that often come with taking oral cancer medications at home. Researchers are comparing two approaches: one involves weekly check-in calls that report symptoms to doctors, and the other adds self-help materials and counseling calls for those feeling anxious or sad. The goal is to find better ways to support patients outside the clinic, improve their well-being, and potentially reduce unplanned trips to the hospital.
