No-Radiation breast scanner could change cancer detection
NCT ID NCT05300464
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study is testing a new device called MammoWave that uses low-power microwaves instead of X-rays to find breast lesions. About 600 women will lie face-down while the device scans their breasts for about 10 minutes. The goal is to see if this safe, radiation-free method can accurately detect breast abnormalities compared to standard mammography.
