Scientists test malaria shot in vulnerable kids

NCT ID NCT05385510

Summary

This study tested the safety and immune response of a new malaria vaccine in young African children, most of whom were living with HIV. Researchers gave 122 children aged 5-36 months a series of three vaccine shots plus a booster. The main goal was to see if the vaccine was safe and how well it triggered an immune response in children with HIV compared to those without.
