Researchers test new ways to boost colon cancer screening in rural areas
NCT ID NCT07173985
Summary
This study is testing different ways to help more people in Appalachian communities complete colon cancer screening. Researchers are mailing two types of home test kits (standard and enhanced) and providing support through either phone calls or text messages. The goal is to find the most effective combination to increase screening rates among 500 average-risk adults who are currently not up-to-date with screening.
