Zapping away depression? new brain treatment tested for seniors

NCT ID NCT04842929

Summary

This study tested a non-drug treatment for depression in people over 60. Researchers used a magnetic device to gently stimulate specific areas of the brain, aiming to improve mood. They compared the real treatment to a fake (placebo) version in 108 participants to see if it safely reduced depression symptoms.
