Magnets to the mind: new hope for veterans with PTSD?

NCT ID NCT04207346

Summary

This study tested whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique could help veterans with PTSD. Researchers used a powerful magnet to stimulate specific brain areas, comparing it to a sham (fake) treatment. They measured whether it improved PTSD symptoms, depression, and daily functioning for up to six months after treatment ended.
