Magnets vs. meds: new surgery challenges ozempic for diabetes control

NCT ID NCT07317115

Summary

This study is testing whether a new, less invasive surgery using magnets to reroute the intestines works better than the medication semaglutide (like Ozempic) for controlling type 2 diabetes and weight in adults with obesity. It will enroll 20 adults with a BMI between 30-40 and type 2 diabetes. The goal is to see which approach leads to better long-term blood sugar control.
