Could a simple blood mineral hold clues to stroke recovery?

NCT ID NCT05132517

Summary

This study aims to understand if low levels of magnesium in the blood are connected to memory and thinking problems people often experience after a stroke. Researchers will follow 80 stroke patients, measuring their magnesium levels and testing their thinking skills at several points during their hospital stay and recovery. The goal is to gather information that could help guide future care, not to test a treatment.
