First seen Apr 20, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests a simple program called MAFF that encourages children to take short movement breaks at school and repeat them at home with their families. About 200 children from Portuguese public schools will take part over 12 weeks, with some classes using MAFF and others continuing as usual. The goal is to see if the program reduces sitting time, increases physical activity, and improves well-being, potentially preventing future health problems like diabetes and heart disease.
