First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study aims to improve how doctors determine the stage of colon cancer before surgery and decide who needs chemotherapy. Researchers will analyze tiny particles in the blood called exosomal microRNAs from 400 participants using machine learning. The goal is to create a more accurate tool than current methods to identify high-risk patients who would benefit from pre-surgery treatment.
