First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special nerve block (M-TAPA) can reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers after open-heart surgery. About 80 adults having elective open-heart surgery will receive either the block plus standard care or standard care alone. The goal is to see if this approach leads to less pain, fewer opioid side effects, and faster recovery.
