Rare skin condition linked to lymphoma? new study investigates immune cells
NCT ID NCT07477769
First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at blood immune cells in 10 adults with a rare genetic skin disease called NIPAL4 ichthyosis. Researchers want to understand why three patients with this disease also developed a rare lymphoma (Sezary syndrome). By describing the normal immune cell pattern in patients without lymphoma, they hope to find clues about a possible connection. The study does not offer treatment, only observation and blood testing.
