Could a swelling disorder signal hidden heart risk?
NCT ID NCT05962827
Summary
This study aims to understand if people with lymphedema (a condition causing chronic swelling) are more likely to have high levels of a specific blood marker called Lp(a), which is linked to heart disease. Researchers will test 100 adults with lymphedema to see how common this is and check if it changes their calculated heart disease risk. The goal is to gather knowledge, not to test a new treatment.
