New study maps hidden cancer spread in colon surgery

Summary
This study looks at where colon cancer spreads to lymph nodes in the small bowel area for people with cecal or early ascending colon cancer. Researchers will examine tissue removed during surgery to find patterns of spread. The goal is to help surgeons decide how much bowel to remove during cancer surgery. About 406 adults will take part.
