New cancer drug enters human testing: early safety study completed

Summary
This was the first human study of an experimental cancer drug called LY3039478. Researchers tested it in 247 patients with advanced or metastatic cancer to find the highest dose that could be given safely. The study also looked for early signs that the drug might help shrink tumors in some patients.
