Summary

This study looks at whether activating a protein called LXR can help prevent diabetic retinopathy, a common eye problem in people with diabetes. Researchers will test blood samples from 104 adults with and without diabetes to see how LXR affects cholesterol and the function of certain blood cells. The goal is to understand how this approach might protect the eyes.
