Summary

This study tested a drug called luspatercept in 30 Chinese and Japanese adults with a bone marrow condition (MDS) that causes severe anemia. Participants needed regular red blood cell transfusions. The goal was to see if the drug could help them go at least 8 weeks without a transfusion. The study also checked safety and how the drug works in the body.
