First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a lung ultrasound score can predict if elderly patients (65+) will have trouble breathing after their breathing tube is removed following surgery. Researchers followed 130 patients in the recovery room after general anesthesia. The goal was to find better ways to identify who might need extra breathing support, reducing complications and hospital stays.
