First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a bedside lung ultrasound during robotic prostate or bladder surgery helps doctors set the ventilator more precisely to prevent lung collapse and overinflation. About 88 adults with mild or no lung disease will be randomly assigned to standard care or ultrasound-guided ventilator settings. The goal is to see if this simple, fast technique reduces lung complications after surgery.
