Experimental lung wash aims to save ventilated COVID patients

NCT ID NCT04725110

Summary

This study aimed to test whether putting a medication called T3 directly into the lungs could help people with severe COVID-19 who were on a ventilator. It planned to enroll patients with life-threatening breathing failure (ARDS) to see if the treatment could reduce dangerous fluid in the lungs, shorten ICU stays, and improve survival. The trial was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
