Doctors probe hidden heart risks of Life-Saving breathing machines
NCT ID NCT07423520
Summary
This study aims to understand how different pressure settings on a breathing machine affect heart function in patients with severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Researchers will test three pressure levels in 20 patients to see how lung collapse and overstretching impact blood flow and heart strain. The goal is to gather knowledge to help doctors fine-tune ventilator settings for each patient's unique condition.
