Lung cancer detection gets a DNA boost

NCT ID NCT05306912

First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study aims to improve how doctors tell if a small lung nodule is cancerous. Researchers will collect fluid from a routine lung exam and analyze DNA in it for cancer signals. The goal is to make the test more sensitive, especially for tiny nodules, so fewer patients need invasive biopsies. About 60 adults with small lung nodules will take part.
