Scientists probe hidden link between lung damage and deadly pressure buildup
NCT ID NCT07184671
Summary
This study aims to understand how some people with chronic lung diseases develop high blood pressure in their lungs (pulmonary hypertension). Researchers will examine 105 adults who are already scheduled for lung surgery, comparing those with and without this complication. By analyzing blood, lung fluid, and tissue samples collected during surgery, they hope to learn what causes this dangerous condition and identify potential targets for future treatments.
