Summary
This early-stage trial tested the safety of combining radiation therapy with one or two new immunotherapy drugs for patients with a specific type of advanced lung cancer. The study involved 26 adults whose cancer had spread locally but not to distant organs and who had high levels of a protein called PD-L1. Researchers aimed to see if adding these immune-boosting drugs to standard radiation was safe and tolerable, while also gathering early hints about whether it might help control the cancer longer.
