New Triple-Threat treatment aims to shrink lung tumors before surgery

NCT ID NCT06877299

Summary

This study is testing a three-part treatment given before surgery for patients with certain stages of non-small cell lung cancer. The goal is to see if combining low-dose radiation, a targeted high-dose radiation, chemotherapy, and an immunotherapy drug can better shrink or eliminate the tumor before it is surgically removed. Researchers will measure how many patients have no detectable cancer cells left in the removed tumor and lymph nodes after this pre-surgery treatment.
