New study aims to ease loneliness in lung cancer survivors

Summary

This study tests a program to help long-term lung cancer survivors feel more supported and improve their quality of life. Thirty survivors will be randomly assigned to either the support program or a comparison group. The program uses techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy to reduce social anxiety and improve social connections. Participants will use a mobile phone app to track their social interactions and well-being.
