New combo test aims for sharper picture in lung cancer battle
NCT ID NCT02719847
Summary
This study tested whether adding a specific biopsy procedure (EBUS-TBNA) after a standard PET/CT scan could more accurately determine the stage of early lung cancer. It involved 150 patients with early-stage non-small cell lung cancer who were being evaluated for a targeted radiation treatment. The goal was to see if this two-step approach gave doctors better information to plan the most effective treatment.
