Summary

This study will observe about 477 Brazilian smokers aged 50-80 to see how well lung cancer screening works in a region where other lung diseases are common. The goal is to find out how often screening gives false alarms, which can lead to extra tests and worry. Researchers hope to improve screening accuracy and reduce unnecessary procedures.
