Firefighters' lungs under the microscope: new study seeks better cancer detection
NCT ID NCT04614129
Summary
This study aimed to understand if firefighters have different lung scan results compared to non-firefighters, and if their job exposures are linked to these findings. Researchers compared lung scans from over 700 current and retired firefighters with over 1,100 similar non-firefighters. The goal was to learn how to better spot early signs of lung problems in this high-risk group.
